A Small but Growing Gallery of South African Birds
Beware of birding. It starts quite innocently but creeps up on you and before you know it, you’ve been bitten. This is the beginning of a growing portfolio of birds taken during our holidays in South Africa. It started with photographing to aid in identification, but it turned into a quite a time consuming hobby.
The idea of this page is not to write about birds, birding, or the trips where they were taken but just to show the photographs. Maybe someone will enjoy looking at them as much as we did when photographing them. Maybe someone can use them to help in getting to know some birds. As we said, these are just the beginning as there are many more photos to be added as time becomes available for editing.
